Themes for Nepal’s National Participation
“Connect Potentials for Sustainable Growth”
- Theme of Nepal’s participation at Expo 2020 is “ Connect Potential for Sustainable Growth” correlates with Expo theme “Connecting minds, Creating the future” and sub theme “Opportunity, Mobility and Sustainability”.
- Nepal is rich in natural resources, eco-systems, biodiversity and young human resources. By harnessing available abundant resources and potential, Nepal aspires to graduate to a middle income economy within the next five years.
- On the global platform of Expo, Nepal will present national endeavors being undertaken for harnessing and best managing available resources for national development and conservation, especially use of fragile mountain and Himalayan ranges in the most sustainable manner.
- Nepal’s innovative best practices in regards to sustainable harnessing of vast resources of water for energy, drinking and irrigation purposes and also non timber forest based medicines and therapies, commercialization of mining and agriculture as well as human resources, trade, investment, technology, tourism, rich culture, arts, crafts, food and lifestyles will be highlighted prominently.
- National exercises and strategies that Nepal is undertaking to create innovation and opportunity especially for youth will be major highlights of Nepalese presentation. Development scenarios to depict an efficient system on infrastructural development for easier mobility to the market, people, goods and ideas will be another core presentation of Nepal at the Expo.
Exhibition Plan
Nepal Pavilion will exhibit prominently high tech interactive audio video presentations, banners, posters, photographic blow ups, physical models, cultural arts and crafts, live skill shows from artists, cooks, musicians and dancers. Following them will be focused:
